It's 3pm. You've opened four tabs to figure out tonight. You're going to guess anyway.

Know tonight
before tonight arrives.

VenueIQ does the looking-up: weather, bookings, nearby events, your own trading history. Then shows the reasoning behind every number. You still make the call.

How it works

AI you can argue with.

Most forecasting tools hand you a number and ask you to trust it. VenueIQ hands you a number with the context behind it, and leaves the call to you.

01
It does the looking-up
Weather forecasts, nearby events, road closures, public holidays, school terms, and your own trading history. All synthesised every morning before service starts.
→ Stop opening tabs before service.
02
It speaks your venue's context
Built for independent Australian hospitality, not a generic business tool. Knows the Restaurant Industry Award, the Victorian calendar, Saturday-vs-Wednesday-lunch differences, and how a Comedy Festival weekend hits Fitzroy.
→ Tuned to your shape, not a global average.
03
It defers to you
Every forecast shows its assumptions in plain English. Disagree with the call? Override it. Add context the system can't see, and your daily notes feed straight back into the next prediction.
→ You're still the manager. We're the prep cook.
What changes for you

You already do this. We just do it faster.

Every venue manager already runs this calculation in their head. VenueIQ runs it before service starts, with more inputs, fewer tabs, and reasoning you can read.

Without VenueIQ
The 3pm scramble.
  • Four tabs open at 3pm. Weather, bookings, last week's POS, the staff WhatsApp.
  • Tuesday is "weird", and nobody can quite say why
  • Find out at midnight you under-prepped, or staffed up for nothing
  • Last week's spreadsheet for next week's roster
With VenueIQ
One screen, every morning.
  • One screen, ready before service. Context already gathered.
  • Tuesday explained, tuned to your venue, not an average
  • Catch the margin slide at 6pm, while you can still act on it
  • A roster decision backed by what's actually likely tonight
Why VenueIQ

Most tools tell you what already happened.

VenueIQ tells you what's about to happen, and what to do about it.

The system

Three things, working together.

VenueIQ isn't one feature with two side dishes. It's a layered system that anticipates the night, intervenes when it slips, and learns from every shift.

Where competitors stop

Catch the slide while you can still fix it.

Most analytics tools tell you at midnight that you missed margin. By then, the staff are gone, the prep is in the bin, and your only option is to write it off. VenueIQ watches your shift live, and tells you when there's still time to act.

Behind the forecast

We watch the world so you can run the floor.

VenueIQ pulls together the signals that shape your night. The obvious ones, the easy-to-miss ones, and the ones nobody has time to chase down. Synthesised every morning, before service starts.

What's happening outside
Weather, transport, road works, public holidays, school terms. Anything that changes whether people leave home tonight and how they get around.
What's drawing crowds
Concerts, festivals, sporting fixtures, community events. Within walking distance of your venue, plus the broader rhythm of the calendar around you.
Your venue's own rhythm
Trading history by day-of-week and season. The patterns that make your Tuesday different from your Friday, used to tune every forecast to your shape specifically.
What only you know
Confirmed bookings, private functions, daily notes. Context the system can't see on its own. You add it, the brain factors it in.
Specific situations

The kind of thing it catches.

Not theory. The actual nights where a generic forecast would miss and a tuned one wouldn't.

It's been raining since 1pm but clears by 6. Your daily total is misleading. Walk-ins recover.
AFL Grand Final week. Tuesday hits like a Friday in cafes near the MCG.
Comedy Festival show 200m away ends 9:15. Pre-show diners spike from 6:30.
Long weekend Friday. Your regulars are at the coast, but tourists are hunting brunch in Fitzroy.
School holidays in Carlton. Uni crowd disappears, family tables surge for lunch.
Public holiday eve. Last-train-Friday energy. Bar trade up 30% before midnight.
From the floor

We've worked the shift you're trying to plan.

We've stood in the kitchen at 5pm wondering if Tuesday's going to be busy. We've over-prepped Saturday and watched uneaten food hit the bin at midnight. We've spent half a Sunday adding up last week's covers in a spreadsheet just to work out next week's roster.

VenueIQ is built for that. Not for chains with data teams. Not for generic "AI for SMBs." For the operator running the floor, the books, and the staff WhatsApp at the same time.

Every pilot inquiry comes to us directly. We'll talk to you ourselves before anything gets connected. We want to know your venue, not just sign you up.

Honest qualification

VenueIQ won't work for everyone.

Worth knowing before you spend ten minutes on the application.

Use VenueIQ if
  • You run an independent venue, single or a small group
  • You make staffing or prep decisions daily and a 10% miss matters
  • You've got at least 3 months of trading history to work from
  • You're willing to submit actuals daily. That's the learning loop
Skip VenueIQ if
  • You're a chain with a data team and existing forecasting in place
  • You've been trading less than 3 months and there's no signal yet
  • You don't want to share your POS or actual revenue numbers
  • You expect a black-box "just trust the algorithm" tool
Melbourne pilot program

Work with us to build something better.

VenueIQ isn't generally available yet. We're running a small Melbourne pilot to refine the brain with real venues before we open up.

What you get from us
In exchange for your feedback, pilot venues get full platform access at no cost, and direct input into the product.
Full platform access free for 3 months. No credit card, no lock-in.
Weekly 30-minute check-in calls directly with the founding team
Your Square POS integrated and your venue profile built in ~30 minutes
Victorian holiday calendar, Award rates, and AEST handling already built in
An optional published case study at the end if results are positive
Our promise:if VenueIQ isn't actually helping you make better calls by month two, we walk away. No paid pitch at the end of the pilot, no awkward sales calls. We'd rather know it didn't work than dress it up.
8 of 20 Melbourne spots remaining. We onboard venues one at a time.
What we ask in return
Submit actuals daily
After each shift, mark what you actually took. This is the signal that trains the model. It takes 30 seconds.
Weekly feedback calls
Thirty minutes a week with the team. What's working, what's confusing, what you wish it did differently.
Honest assessment at the end
Did VenueIQ help you make better decisions? We want the unvarnished answer, including if the answer is no.
Optional: Square integration
Connecting Square makes forecasts significantly more accurate. It's optional, but we recommend it. Lightspeed and Hospo support coming.
Apply for a pilot spot

Tell us about your venue.

We'll be in touch within 48 hours. If there's a fit, we'll get you set up in one 30-minute session.

We onboard one venue at a time. If the 20 pilot spots are full, we'll put you on the waitlist and let you know when we open the next cohort.

Common questions

Honest answers.

No, and we're not trying to. You've run hospitality for years. VenueIQ synthesises data you can't easily track yourself (weather, road closures, nearby events, your own trading history) and gives you a starting point with transparent reasoning. You still decide. The 'daily notes' field lets you add context the system can't see.
For venues with 6+ weeks of actuals submitted, we're typically within 8 to 12% of actual revenue on a given day. Accuracy improves substantially over the first 30 to 60 days as the calibration step corrects for systematic bias. Our methodology document covers the benchmarks in detail.
You can still use VenueIQ. You'd enter daily actuals manually after each shift (takes 30 seconds). Forecasts are less accurate without historical POS data, but the structured reasoning from external signals is still useful. We support Square now; Lightspeed and Hospo are coming.
We'll have an honest conversation about whether it's working for you. If it is, we'll discuss pricing for continued access. If it isn't, there's no obligation. The goal of the pilot is to build something genuinely useful, not to lock people in.
Yes. Your revenue data is stored encrypted, never shared with other venues, and never used to train models in a way that could expose your information. Full details are in our privacy policy.
The Victorian public holiday calendar, school terms, Award rate configuration, and local event data feeds are all built specifically for Melbourne. Expanding to Sydney and Brisbane is on the roadmap once the Melbourne pilot establishes baseline accuracy.
We have a methodology paper covering the prediction approach, accuracy benchmarks, and the data we use. Email hello@venueiq.xyz and we'll send it to you. We keep it slightly gated because we want to know who's reading, not because it's a secret.
